30th Iberian Gathering Cádiz 2026

The most important event of the year on the Iberian Peninsula offered a weekend of live music, with two classes, rehearsals and two social dances.
Ewan Galloway and Shona MacFadyen played for us, and our teacher was Andrew Nolan.
It was held at the exclusive four-star Hotel Cádiz Bahía.
In addition to organising this annual event, the CadiLonians Association offered all participants a variety of cultural and tourist activities, with the aim of ensuring that they took home a little piece of Cádiz.
We began on 5th March with a cultural exchange between the “Ciudad de Cádiz” Folk Dance Association and some of the attendees at the Iberian Gathering, thanks to the collaboration of the Centro Flamenco La Merced. The best tanguillos of Cádiz and the finest Scottish rhythm, brought to life by our musicians.
On Saturday 7th March, we took the dancing out into the street, to Glorieta Ana Orantes. A small demonstration… and then everyone joined in the dancing.
The Municipal Tourism Department of Cádiz City Council kindly offered the participants of the Gathering caps, bags and complimentary tickets for the tourist bus, so that they would not miss the opportunity to explore our wonderful city. Thank you!
